Nauvoo

Yeah! My dad and stepmom came out to Omaha to see us for Dave's Spring Break, and we all went on a trip to Nauvoo together. We had such a great time! The White House was a great place to stay. We were the only ones there, and it had a full kitchen and a hot tub out back. We got in the hot tub every night, even though it was freezing. After, we came in and had hot cocoa before bed. Our room was right across the hall from Dad and Sheila. It was perfect! Most mornings began with a donut run to the Nauvoo Bakery. We spent a couple of days in Old Nauvoo. We love the production Rendezvous put on by all of the senior missionaries, the family living center, and watched a couple of films in the visitors center. Around town, the gunsmith shop and the brick yard were favorites. One of the days we drove up to Carthage Jail. The drive was awesome. We counted over thirty bald eagles in the trees along the Mississippi River. It was amazing. Since we had someone to watch the kids, Dave and I were able to do a session at the temple, which was the highlight of the trip.
